January Joys

January weather was not my favorite, especially this year with many cold days, ice storms that closed down our business, and finally some snow (at least there's that).  One of the best things, though, was getting a visit from Lauren and her family.  Ezra was very excited to show Josiah his RC car.
It could, also, go in the water.
Tired ladies!

After rescheduling many times, Shiloh and I were finally able to make it to cash in a Christmas present and get her ears pierced.
She did a great job!
Then her lunch date of choice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We, also, got to do a belated mini Christmas celebration with the Prentisses!
All the cousins back together again!
We sang to Jesus and enjoyed a special treat.
Josiah handed out his adorable gifts that he assisted his parents in making.
Each of the cousins got a lego picture of themselves with Josiah, and then put them together.
It was truly the sweetest thing and such a special gift!
I had looked up a couple of silly games for us all to enjoy (after Josiah was in bed, so the most challenging part was not being to loud).
This looked way easier than it was!
Unfortunately Shiloh was not feeling well enough to join us.  She seemed to sleep much of the month.
Ezra added to his gift from Josiah and put a frame around it, as well as lego pieces to represent them (so precious).
Winter Jam was this month, and I took Zoe and her friend for their first one!
We all had a great time and they got matching t-shirts.
What a privilege to get to worship our Savior together (we missed our Shiloh being there as well).
While there wasn't as much activity this month, there were lots of selfies on my phone...some I found.
While not my favorite month, as we nativatged through sickness (especially with underlying issues with Shiloh), thankful for the good times that were had along the way!
Snow Day - but for real this time
The build up for snow in our area is always monumental.  This time was no exception, as they were calling for up to 8 inches.  I am always doubtful, and while we had nothing near that amount, we did have so much this weekend!
Shiloh enjoyed making a snow snack with some blackberries.
After it started snowing for a bit, Ezra enjoyed sweeping it up into a large pile, even though it would continue to snow through the afternoon, evening, and through the night.
After hours of snow play, the boys enjoyed a hot chocolate break.
Then they were back at it outside.
The girls had some brief fun outside as well.
Zoe snagged this beautiful photo at dusk.
Even after dark, Ezra was attempting to get in some more play with RC plowing car on the deck.
The next morning everything was covered, not to the extreme that was predicted but so much for fun play!  The boys had taken the wheels off of a skateboard and used it in attempting to snowboard.
By the time I made it out for a walk, the snow was already starting to melt, especially in the sunny areas that sleders had had their fun!
A kind neighbor let us borrow her circle sled type item and it was fun! It worked way better than the cookie sheet that Ezra was attempting to use. Most of the times I ended up falling off eventually but no injuries were had (but several videos)!
Such a blessing and glad that Ezra went with Beach and I on a walk!
We, also, attempted some face imprints in the snow after I had seen someone else doing so online. Tricky to be able to get your face just right and hold still.  However, the outcome is so funny if you can endure the slight torture.
Can you tell which one is Beach and which is mine.
Ezra's face didn't turn out, so he went with a handprint.
Such a fun and rae experience!  We pray and trust God to provide for us when our business had to close, and are thankful that we actually got snow and now just ice this time around!
