March Full of Celerations!

March brings in a month of our kids birthdays along with beautiful spring.  Shiloh turned the big 13, Ezra 11, and Zoe 15 (well she is really April 1st).  I was, also, blessed to attend the women's retreat with our church with both my sisters and mom.
We, also, celebrated Glenn's birthday with steak and potatoes at our house!
Handmade cards, always.
Donna made a beautiful cake!
Zoe had selfies with the cake. 😆

While I stick to my usual drinks while at work, I do like to branch out from time to time to enjoy our seasonal specials!

Selfies of the month found on my phone....
Cousin even got in on the action when my phone was found during family dinner.
Post workout selfie....sometimes she comes and works out with me.
Surprised me with a photo when I was getting in the car...one of us always gets more sweaty than the other.

Shiloh's cheer group did an awesome job in their school talent show!
All the contestants.

While Shiloh was at another cheer event, Zoe got to hang out with a friend and even had a baking competition!

On a dusk walk and my sweet Zoe joined me.  We enjoyed all the spring that is coming to life!

Our kitchen renovation started this month, which means it put everything into crazy town.  There was a lot of prep to be done.  We had one more sit at our little table before passing it on.
This sweet space provided so many great times when my littles were little!  In some way I am so ready for a greatly needed improvements but also grieving an end to an era.

With so many spring birthdays and business this time of year, we had a celebration of all the March birthdays with my extended family, including Ezra.
And, yes, he did ask for pickles.
From one plant lover to the next.
Shiloh....
and Danielle!
Happy Birthday indeed!

Shiloh bought Zoe matching PJs for her birthday and had to give them to her early.
Cute girls...
and silly!
Real life!

With this basement living, as our upstairs is busy with construction....dinner time snagines... how Zoe eats soup.

Sweet time at my sister Lauren's house, hearing more about their family's future mission. Josiah wanted in on the snuggles—and we’ll take all we can get!
Such a busy month but one filled with much love!

Hughes Ladies Women's Retreat

The amazing endcap of the month was getting to go to the women's retreat with both my sisters and our mom! My backseat buddy!
Coffee first....
We were so excited with the beautiful weather and amazing suite right on the beach.
We got there before the session started so we could take advantage of walking on the beach.
It was bright 😆!
We hit up a yummy Mexican place just down the road...
We had amazing speakers, worship (no pictures of those, as that was not the focus), and small group time throughout the weekend. I had an interesting small group....flex to represent working on life muscles!
It was a glorious afternoon that we had free time and spent mostly on the beach.  I went for a run/walk with Lauren and found them relaxed when I got back.
Walking down to an area that had just a ton of shells!
I enjoyed finding a few cute ones out of the bunch!  I love seeing how God makes things!
For dinner a friend recommended the Flying Fish and we got there early to get a seat.
Showing how tall we are, ha!  (Since both my girls are taller than me now, we talk a lot about height. 😏)
While many got turned away, we decided to wait for a table, and Danielle asked about one outside.  It felt like a miracle when after only a minute of our "30 minute wait", we were called and taken to the back porch where there was no one!
I have no idea why, as the weather was amazing, and we had it all to ourselves for most of the evening, besides a couple of cute little birds.  Such a gift of beautiful conversation, great service, and amazing food!  A true gift from the Lord!
Hearts and bellies full!
Mom was being a little difficult in getting a picture.
We didn't have much time to walk along the river but did so briefly before returning to the conference.
It was such a blessing to hear more about God's Word, our ladies go deep, alongside with my favorites!  With Lauren leaving out the of country in a few short months, I don't know when, if ever, we will get to be together again like this!  Thankful that we were all well and will cherish this time together!
