The Highs of January

Another monthly recap with all the happy I want to remember...
At Grandmy's and Poppy's the girls found some fun dress up items!  So much personality!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I do so love when we get some awesome porch views!
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've owed a date to Shiloh for some time now.  When I was feeling well one Friday, and a nearby art studio was having a deal on painting banks, it was great timing.
I was, also, thrilled that they had a HUGE sale going on on the rest of the pieces and got to paint something as well!
Then my ice-cream loving girl wanted to hit up her favorite place on the way home.  I hit up a couple of little bites as well!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoe's cheerleading has started (something she has been waiting for for months), and I must say they looked adorable in their outfits.
One happy little girl!
Still working on learning the cheers.
We will be spending many Saturdays right here!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A boy and his bike!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Sunday afternoon and I enjoyed the warmer sunshine with my momma!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The program that Zoe does her cheerleading at had a kickoff ceremony on the Sunday evening.
It was full of fun entertainment...
and raffle prizes.  Which seemed to make the kids anxious constantly checking their tickets.
Zoe ended up with the balloon hat from the stage given to her by her coach.

My Shiloh, just grounding away.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
New mugs feeling and looking good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, a long overdue date with my love.  Such a sweet time together!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One particular Wednesday was especially busy, as everything seemed to be on that one day.  We started with Tales for Tots that morning where Ezra made a dinosaur diorama.  He was very into taking picture of the event.
Then, after a couple of errands, we headed downtown to the art museum for Glady's Gang.
It was all about shapes and Ez decided to construct a house with his.  He needed a little emotional support throughout the process...
but was happy with the end results.
And he got a short story to take home with him as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Luckily, I had a few quiet moments in the afternoon to recharge.
After we picked up the girls, including the cousins, from school we eventually made it to the library.
They had some fun crafts to make after story time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fun night cap was seeing some of my old former work buddies from TNC.  We started working there about 15 years ago!
My sweet twin!
So many memories and past craziness that we share that it was so good to get together and reconnect about all the fun new things that have been going down!
Longest most filled fun day ever (which I needed a couple of days to recoup from but so thankful to have it).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoe's preferred way of doing homework/eating is in this perched position. Homework is even better with some coffee to go along with it (don't worry it is decaf).  She enjoys having her own big cup and drinks it black.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My little helper!  Ezra loves to be involved in whatever I'm doing.  He now likes making me scrambled eggs and sautéed veggies in the morning.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sweet little moments to cherish.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a hard week, I wasn't sure if I was going to make this fabulous fundraiser event but was so thankful that I ended up being able to do so.
My mom came, too!
My dear friend Mandy, who came to town to help host this event for her sister's adoption.
While all a little unique, each very special in their own ways!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A pop-up photo booth at your chiro's office with a chance to take pictures with your extended cousins!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fun mail packages from the Grands in Michigan...
With soft new pajamas for Valentines Day!
They were all pleasantly surprised!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Field tripping to the State Museum with my middle.
Some fierce girls right there!
With their sweet teacher, Mrs. Ward.

Shiloh is, by far, the tallest girl in her class.

Mirror play!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ms. Decorator of all things, started prepping early for the next holiday.  When I explained that we were not doing streamers, the girls made their own!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gymnastic party and Shiloh got some instructions on how to do a cartwheel.

So fun!
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Shiloh grabs the camera after dinner at my parents house, and some of the pictures are to funny that you need to just keep them!
Such more love!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When it's a half day at school, to cold to do anything outside, and I'm feeling well enough = I have special individual time with each of my littles.
Ezra chose as Thomas Letter puzzle...
A game of cards while snuggling in bed...
and making a Valentine Banner with Shiloh made from our Christmas Cards.  I found this idea on a blog and thought it was so cute, and it is a way to reuse them and hold on to the beauty a bit longer!
Shiloh then wanted me to take a picture of all the Valentines things she has been creating in such anticipation.  I would say we are ready for next month.

Combo Holiday (Otherwise known as New Year's Eve)

You know when you get older New Years takes on a whole other scene.  Ok, let's be real, I have never really had a "crazy" New Years, so kids just give a good excuse.  So this year, when friends invited us over for the evening, we were thankful to get to spend time with them!  We even got to watch a little fireworks from their back yard (thankfully it was early evening too).
It was a combo holiday really, as the kids were in the middle of dress up, playing with Christmas decorations and fireworks throw in there in the rain.
Shiloh stayed pretty far away, playing with large candy canes, as she was a bit scared.
We had some yummy Zoe's Kitchen while the kids free ranged it in the Living Room!
Blowers ready for the countdown!
Also caught the oldest in a pre-teen moment.
Sparkling Cider Cheers to the many Netflix countdowns!
And Because I never get a picture of us!  (Also, I will try again next time Megan, when hopefully this momma does not look so tired.)
Pinkies Up! Then once back at home, with the littles tucked in tight, Beach and I officially rang in the New Year.
While this year has been one full of challenges, and many love in-between, we hold on to the growth and look forward with higher hopes to 2019!
