5 Years with Loveland Coffee Cafe

Beach and I started Loveland Coffee 13 years ago with a small kiosk and a quiet dream of one day opening a café. In the beginning, it was mostly Beach—I was working full-time to keep us barely afloat, and we were raising a baby and a toddler in the middle of it all.
Fast forward, and we’ve just celebrated five years of the café being open. It’s a big milestone, especially knowing how many independent restaurants don’t make it this far. We’re in a stable place now, but getting here has been costly. These have been some of the hardest years of our lives, professionally and personally.
Still, it mattered to pause and celebrate. Some moments deserve to be marked—even when they come with a mix of gratitude, relief, and nerves.
There was a lot that led up to this event!  The Gray Ghost (Beach's truck) made its appearance.
So thankful for our management team, as we truly could not do it without them.
Espeically for this gal right here, our GM, Jaden.
We attempted a photo in the truck...
which just brought laughter!
There was an area where folks could write down a Loveland memory that they may have had over the years.
Sharing our thanks with the community....
along with cake.
We had T-shirts made with our 5 year logo on it and included it on the cake as well.
Our team did amazing in serving up all the guest that we had that day!
Jon Rooks performed that morning and did a fantastic job!
We had a live painter, Trahern Cook, painting throughout the day as part of the celebration.
Our non-profit partners were there to represent as well.  (I forgot to take a photo of the Congaree Riverkeepers.)
We are so thankful for all that they do and that we can support them as well.
All our family came out for the fun. Although, I didn't get a photo of them all.
Not long after the event, the finished piece arrived from our local artist. It was beautiful—layered with thoughtful details and little snapshots of our business, even capturing our family on the patio.
It’s honestly hard to believe it’s been five years already. So much of that time has felt like simply putting one foot in front of the other, and getting here is a quiet, steady testimony to God’s faithfulness through every season. And we’re looking ahead with hope, trusting Him for what He’s still going to do in us and our community.  To God be the Glory.
