Zoe's Kindergarten Art

What to do with your kids' artwork?  I truly love all the pieces they bring home and want to keep them all but my growing minimalist heart is way to overwhelmed with that idea.  Soooo I decided to include them here so that I would always have a way to go back and look at them through the years!
Kindergarten has to be the most fun and the crafts/arts are no exception.  My little Zoe's first day of school.

My favorite activity is:  dance

Last K5 days

Time, as it loves to do, has slipped away and I bid adieu to our first kindergarten years.  For some reason, in my mind, this is a huge deal!  This year has been such a blast for Zoe (and me) that it is bittersweet that it has come to an end!
Her class did not have a graduation but a celebration, complete with an adorable video and then time where we could sit down together and look through all of Zoe's work and progress from this year.  We were thankful that daddy could get away from work and join us!
These laddies right here, Zoe's teacher and assistant, are so very special to us!  I am beyond thankful that they have been able to invest in Zoe's life so deeply!  This allowed this protective mamma's heart to let go, knowing that she was well cared for!
Daddy had to go back to work afterwords.  So Zoe and I went on a mini date celebration and spent a gift card that she had earned at church.
She was pretty stoked to pick out her first DD.
I cherish these precious little moments we get to share together.
Later she made this adorable picture of our outing!  Translation: "I went to the Dunkin Donuts with mommy.  It was yummy."
My darling soon to be first grader...What an awesome experience this year to see you grow so much!  I have been amazed in watching you learn to read and your determination to do the right thing in the right way. You have worked on your social side in figuring out new ways to approach situations in a peaceful manner.
This little award you brought home is pretty special, and I pray that God would continue to grow your heart to serve others more and more each year!
