Beach and I decided to do one on ones with the kids before they went back to school. I was up with one of the girls, but they wanted to go togher to grab some ice cream. I very much appreciate when they want to spend time together as well.
We took advantage of a open week night to venture out.
It got a little drippy there at the end of the cone.
Without much of an agenda other than that, we just walked around the center being silly.
Little monkeys attempting pull ups!
It turned out to be gorgeous night and a breathtaking sunset. Zoe directed me to sit next to a rose bush and wanted to practice her photography.

Even though I felt silly doing so, I obliged as there are so many years that I have asked them to do the same throughout their life.
The girls seem to be all of a sudden into taking photos now, which is a pleasant change, and then wanted to continue to take photos all around.
It turned into an impromptu photo shoot.
If this was planned, clearly different clothes/shoes would have been worn....but in some ways this is better, a little glimpse of what they were genuinely like on that day...A sort of capsule of a joyful snippet of time when the ways of the world didn't feel so heavy, and there was gratitude to live in the moment of a beautiful night together.
Smiles for sillness!
I sure do love my girls!
My twin that is 30 years age difference.
Intense squeezes because that's how I roll.
Girls took some sweet photos together...
Ha!
Shiloh wanted a chance to take some photos as well, so some of these are also her work.
These series are often what happens in some way behind the scenes.
We got a mostly normal one.
I wanted to keep some of the silly ones as well!
Then we headed to Target. To be honest they have been in very few stores over the years (as I don't like shopping), so it was extra fun novelty. The late hour meant there was hardly anyone even in the store!
They are both a lot of fun! This break away from the normal routines in life was a breath of fresh air for all of us. Enjoying the fun that comes with having tween/teens.
