The fall months have officially rolled in, although the weather doesn't always seem to recognize that quite yet! September felt full from beginning to end. We were back in the full throttle of school, navigating some health issues and simply trying to keep pushing through. Thankfully, there were also plenty of sweet moments mixed in, with the highlight for sure being our overnight birthday getaway to the mountains!
Some other joys along the way...Dinner at the Grand Lovelands' house usually includes some kind of special treat, and this time Ezra scored a root beer float.
He wasn't complaining!

Zoe has also been getting in plenty of practice behind the wheel.
It's still a little crazy and nerve racking to me that we have reached the stage of teaching our kids to drive!

Beach and the kids were able to help celebrate a friend's birthday, where they met a particularly friendly pet squirrel. Definitely not your everyday party guest!

We've also really enjoyed watching Ezra run in his cross country races this season. He is getting more of the hang of it with every race and has been earning new PRs almost every time. It has been so fun watching him improve and gain confidence along the way.Chapin morning meet was up next.
It is nice as there are a few spots you can get to in order to cheer on throughout the race.

My actual birthday brought a little more celebrating too. I was treated to a yummy breakfast, along with some sweet cards and presents from my family.
Beach and I were also able to sneak away for a dinner date, which was a special way to end the day.

One tradition we look forward to every September is the Okra Strut parade!

The weather was amazing, and we all enjoyed being out together for one of our favorite local traditions.

On the work front, we brought back our Stars Hollow-themed event for another year, and it was one busy and fun night!I'm so thankful for our amazing Loveland Coffee staff and everything they did to pull it off.
And somehow, we even ended the night with a surprise snowfall!
Zoe was also an incredible bonus, jumping in wherever she was needed and helping us fill in the gaps.

My parents returned from their amazing 50th anniversary trip and brought back some little "searcy" for the kids. It's always fun getting a few treasures from Grammy and Pappy's travels!

One of the bigger challenges around our house this month has been math, along with the tutoring needed to conquer it. It hasn't been easy, but Shiloh has continued to plug along and work through it, and I'm proud of her for continuing to push forward even when it is hard.

Selfie round up of photos found on my phone this month featuring many varieties of Shiloh....

September was one of those months that held a little bit of everything. There were celebrations and struggles, PRs and tutoring sessions, birthday memories, work events, family traditions, and plenty of everyday life in between. Not every season feels easy, and lately we have had our share of things to push through. But I'm thankful that even in the harder stretches, there are still so many little gifts tucked into our days. A dinner date, a finish line, a root beer float, beautiful weather for a parade, or simply watching our kids keep going when something is hard.
