Utah Magic - on the way to Bryce Canyon (Out West - Day 7)

The next stage in the journey was Bryce Canyon, so we headed north to the gorgeous land of Utah!

It was another beautiful drive!
I had planned a couple of stops along the way and the first was Toadstool Hoodoos Hike.
While on our route, it is in the middle of nowhere it seems, so again, there were few other people.
Trying to capture the vastness of it all is not possible, but I tried....can you spot the fam in each of the pictures.
After walking a bit the landscape began to change.
And we found our first Hoodoos.
They were so fun to climb and explore!
As we went along the colors of the rocks began to change as well.
Until it was only white left.
The kids like to attempt to climb as high as they can.
This trail seemed to end in a cave.
I LOVED this hike and it felt like we were on a different planet yet again!
The next stop was a quirky coffee place.  Unfortunately, we got there right when they closed, but they were kind to let us use the restroom.
Not to much further down the road was another interesting place to stretch our legs, the Sand Caves Trail.  Can you spot Zoe and Ezra...
Ezra is pointing to our destination, the caves on this mountain.
We climbed up a steep embankment me that has had a rope to assist.  I attempted to use the rope, but decided that another route would be better.  Shiloh was not feeling it, so Beach stayed back with her.
Heading to the caves!
Along the way, people had carved into the rock and we actually saw Ezra and Zoe's name right next to each other!
The cave itself had many little cuby holes.
The ground was all sand!
These were actually man made and when you get toward the back it was completely dark.  We could only see with the help of a phone.
We were pleasantly surprised when Beach and Shiloh showed up.  She had changed her mind and decided she wanted to come as well.
The sides just open to the edge of a mountain.
We showed them the caves as well.
Some of the walls had the most beautiful mixtures of color.
The place was so fun exploring!
Headed back...
We stopped for a meal (it was in between traditional lunch/dinner times, so we had the place to ourselves) at a local spot: Brink's Grill & Country Store.  It was all you can eat habati grill (and burgers) that they cooked up after choosing your own items.
It was great, an amazing value, and something different for sure.
Then we headed to our next National Park and had no idea what was in store for us!
