A year of new beginnings, as we all journeyed to a brand new charter school! While not thrilled at the idea, Zoe did want to return to going to school 5 days a week (as opposed to the homeschool co-op she did the previous year).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoe joined the cross country team and loved it!
It was a great way for her to get connected before school even started. She found she enjoyed running and connected to many of the people on her team!
We enjoyed going to the meets and cheering her on!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While most days consisted of a uniform, the school did have a spirit week, and Zoe rocked out the decade day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both the girls were selected to junior honors society.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They did not have any chaperones (just teachers) but they did share these pictures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While there only ended up being one meet for middle schoolers (due to weather issues), Zoe participated with track this year as well.
The track team had their banquet at Mellow Mushroom.
Team shot!
The week following school getting out there was an optional 8th grade get together over putt putt.
Zoe was so glad to hang out with some of her friends!
This year at a brand new school was no joke, but Zoe truly rose to the occasion. There were so many challenges that she overcame and so many new friends that she made. I couldn't be more proud of my teenager and her character and hard work. While she may not be ready for middle school to end, I have no doubt that she will continue to rock out high school as well!
