We headed back to the same beach house that we were at last year, as the AirB&B hosts graciously gave us a couple of free nights due to a minor issue with the house the last time. It is several hours of a drive to get to the north part of Florida from our house, and we did have a couple of stops along the way.
In searching for a boba location (the girls are very into such), the one I found actually ended up being inside an outlet mall. This was a first for them, and we did a little shopping while were were there.
The tea got decent reviews from the kids but the highlight was scoring some amazing deals at the Nike outlet. One quick slide before we headed out.
We, also, tried a coffee shop for the grownups to get a treat as well...
It has a very interesting layout.
One more quick stop!
Then we made it to the beach were the whole family soon arrived!
Josiah wasn't so sure about the hammock ride.
We were excited to get some sand in our toes!
We were all excited to see Josiah's reaction to the beach.
He was thankfully a quick fan!
Zoe wanted to take some pictures....
and take some pictures of me.
I captured a couple of sweet pictures before one of the saddest parts of the trip.
Lydia ended up colliding during a playful running race on the beach, which resulted in a broken arm (would be confirmed at the doctor's office the following day). It was not a great way to start our vacation, poor thing.😩
It was, also, Aaron's birthday. So there was a bit of cheer to end the night.
(Somebody was anticipating a yummy dessert coming up soon.)
Hoping the rest of the week is a lot smoother!
