Outer Banks (Part 1)

This year for our family beach trip, we were off to a new location in the Outer Banks. My sister, Lauren, and her family were staying with her in-laws in Virginia before they would leave on their mission in the fall. To get them to join us this year, we headed in their direction.
Kids first experience at Buc-ees...It was crazy town.  I realized that it was probably the busiest time of year for them, everyone headed to or from the direction of the beach on a weekend of the 4th of July.
We made another stop in a small town along the way and grabbed some coffee.
These were the faces Shiloh wanted to make for taking her picture.
Out back they had a beautiful mural!
So we had to take some pictures!
Zoe was into it so I took several of her cute self!
We ate dinner at a local place in the Outer Banks on the way to our house.  They are known for their fries, and we were glad to find a spot to park!
The timing worked out to meet my parents there!
After unpacking, I cannot be so close to the beach and not get my toes in the sand, so mom and I escaped and saw the tail end of the sunset.
So thankful to be here!

The next day we enjoyed some beach time as well as the bikes that were at our rental. Ezra and Shiloh went out with me to explore!
We ended up going around a nearby pond, which was fun.
New to us this year was having a small pool at the house that the kids really loved!
They especially enjoyed the novity of being able to hang out with Josiah, as he learned about swiming.
That evening, the girl cousins wanted to go out to the beach, so I went walking with them.
Sweet girls!
Then some fun dusk pictures....
Love this crew and that they get to be here together along with all of the rest of my family!
