Shiloh - 6th grade

This beautiful girl started middle school at a completely brand new school that ended up being 6-12 grade in the same building.  While I wasn't crazy about the idea,  I knew her strong personality would be up for the challenge.

One of her favorite projects was creating a cake that was a model of a cell.
She did a great job!

While they have to wear uniforms most days.  Shiloh really enjoyed spirit week and a break from the norm.  This day representing a different decade.
Clearly into it!

Shiloh participated in a dinner theatre at her school.
She was Sven from the movie Frozen.
Photos with Olaf!
Anna....
The sweet student that did an amazing job on her hair.
Shiloh did a great job and looked adorable!

She worked so very hard, became very disciplined, and earned a spot in the National Junior Honor Society (along with her sister).
We spotted a Shiloh puppet on the wall when we headed out.

I was able to go with Shiloh on her field trip to the State Museum.
The group did a great job overall!

A movie poster, part of a book review, that Shiloh worked so hard on!

In a surprise twist of events, Shiloh decided to try out and made the cheerleading team for next year.  They began practices at the end of this school year, though.  She loved the idea of themed practice (like this day of neon).

The last day of school the 6th grade had a field day (Shiloh may or may not take credit for this happening).  I helped out with her class (which she wasn't to excited about - middle schoolers 😅😆).
It was fun to see all their energy and excitement with each other.
Quite a height difference at this age!
There was a lot of hanging out with some events in between.
Line dancing is a way to get (most) middle schoolers moving.
I love tug-a-war pictures.
They had a few rounds of it...
The final event, a dunk tank of some of the teachers and principal! This raised a lot of money for the school!

While this year has been tremendously challenging in so many ways, I am so proud of Shiloh, as she has really stepped up to all the challenges.  She has grown the most this year as a student, becoming so responsible and organized to keep up with it all and ended up with all A's and B's (no small feet with some of her teachers and the turnover of several math teachers as well).  This will be a a year to remember, a first of many things, and I am so thankful to get through it on a strong note!  My Shiloh is pretty amazing!
