Septemberness

Come on fall! In finally getting to September, we were all hoping for some cooler temps....which eventually did come.  Some bits of fun along the way in September as well....

Ezra started t-ball for the first time and was stoked to do so!
Go Rookies!
So thankful that Ezra and his little buddy could be on the same team!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eye exercises (crazy hair addition) still running strong.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoe wanted to be our waitress one night and insisted that she serve us our food outside.  She did a great job, using a walkie talkie to get the messages across. Now if only I could get her on board to be the cook, too!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some random pictures of after school fun, like dancing to the music,
reading in boxes,
hurricane research,
and pony rides.
Always something interesting going on around here...
(The box travels.)
I never know where I might find Zoe reading, like this account in my laundry basket in my closet.
Puppet shows...
and stores set up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our kids helped out at on a research study at USC.
We pretty much had the building to ourselves.
Then we headed to Soda City.
And enjoyed playing around...
Chosen snacks in order...
vegan donuts.
And a veggie basket for mom!
One last stop at Conquest, a true end of an era!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoe had to get some blood drawn and handled it like a champ!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A clay creation...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One day I had a real craving for donuts....which was quite unusual for me...
THEN Beach happened to show up that night with some amazing Chicken Butt Donuts!!!  So good they will make you make crazy faces! (Also, the littles and I like to quarter ours so we have more to try.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Surprise day off of school turned into a fun play date.
Enjoyed the calm outdoors, since the hurricane weather never came.
I, also, took the opportunity to enjoy a sweet nap with my boy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another day, another doctor's visit...
Passing the time!
Shiloh has been complaining for awhile now about chest pains, so a whole EKG was in order.
She was a good sport and loved her new accessories!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grabbing another nap with my kindergartner!  On a rare occasion, if he is really tired after school he will say he will want to take a nap with me, and if I am able, I oblige.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time to show off some Halloween costumes and the kids were greatly anticipatory....
to see what our neighbor friend had planned!
We all enjoyed a few laughs from it!
And Zoe got to try it on as well.
Zoe was pretty stoked about the outfit I found for her for Halloween.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sweet friend, Shepherd's birthday!
Shiloh always loves sharing the cards that she makes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Poppy was happy to join the littles for Grandparents day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
T-ball nights meant attempting to escape the heat in the shade when it is still in the 90s that day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many a sweet morning!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shiloh's class had a great incentive to read that included a "pet" zoo...
it was an awesome idea that I think went over so well!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back to school was so busy that we ran out of time for Ezra to get a haircut (and if I'm honest, this is always hard for me).  This time we had a friend who is a hair stylist do it, and Ezra maintained this face the entire time.  He was not amused at the pony tails (but I sure was).
The end results were fantastic, though!
"Hey look at me now Momma!"  One sharp looking dude!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After only a couple of practice, we were back to the ball field for the start of the games.
They make the intro quite fun for these cuties!
They all get a chance to hit and run the bases...

High five of "Go Rookies" (one of Ezra's least favorite parts).
Sweet buds!
To celebrate the first big game, they had an ice-cream truck for the players, which looked like it was strait out of the 80's and had Christmas music to boot.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another enjoyable staff training night!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More blood work for this big girl!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My little and me twining!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Boy love!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I get in on the Ezra love as well!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We sure do enjoy the Okra Strut Parade through our little town of Irmo!

We camp out right in front of the kiosk, so all enjoy drinks while we watch!
The candy being passed out means the kids are sitting still for long, up and ready!

Adding to the fun of the day we headed to Michael's for a craft time!

ANNNDDD Ezra got a date with Daddy that night as well!

Sweet times and memories made!
