The Bright Spots in a Difficult Season (September '22)

September has, without a doubt, been one of the hardest months (more on that later).  The parts in-between.....
Many doctor visits!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a film that shot a scene in the cafe....the girls got to be a part of a separate scene at a church.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A sweet gift from a great aunt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra was excited to start baseball again this year!
Getting to do so with friends made it even better!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shiloh has been so excited about Halloween coming up (I know it is still far in the future) that she made her siblings a special lunch.
They enjoyed her creative spirit!

When she is supposed to be making the bed, but instead find your daughter dancing like this...

Mid September is my birthday and I had just gotten over being very sick the beginning of the month.  However, I woke up to a very hard text involving a family member that led to many tears and heartache from the day. The bright spot, though, was getting to process on a brunch date with my guy and then the best dessert of a massage to try to melt away some of the hard.
That night was picture day for baseball....
So handsome!
The team pic....
So in all the craziness that ensued after my birthday, I wasn't even able to take a picture of the flowers that Beach had gotten me.  So a sad picture from a week later for me to remember his thoughtfulness.
Sweet cards from my kiddos!
We grabbed takeout for dinner and I had a "J" fry (backward in picture).
I was pretty hungry by the time we got to eat, so this was the only food picture I got from my steak dinner.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eye appointments for all the kiddos and thankful no big changes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like to homeschool as much outside as we can.  When I leave for a minute and my phone was on the table, I find this.
Another day, Zoe made me a yummy breakfast...
and herself as well.  Looking on the bright side of things!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Buy nothing score that the girls were excited about and this was our drive home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silly faces with Poppy....
But really it was a family birthday celebration for me (minus Beach who started getting sick at this point).
Somebody wasn't wanting to smile for the picture.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Home game and the littles had some visitors for morning carline.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Baseball games have officially begun!
It is a joy to watch Ezra play, as he loves it so much!
First game means ice cream truck.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dinner at my parents and the kids had a challenge to try the fancy dog food treats...
they got many people to join in...
Even Poppy!  Vote was: they are gross....all of them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We all look forward to the Okra Strut parade every year.
The kids brought the Halloween buckets, as they know how much stuff they end up getting.
Cousins came and we set up right by the kiosk, so drinks all around as well!
So many party treasures to come home with!
We hated that Beach had to miss it but the littles enjoyed the morning!

Dentist appointments and Shiloh was a good sport in getting a couple of teeth pulled, so her adult teeth had a better chance in growing in correctly.
With the stress of the day (I had spent most of it with Beach in the hospital), we grabbed dinner out.
Thankfully to (just barley) make it through this month.
