August Roundup

Along with all the prep of getting back from vaca, and preparing for school to start, here are some fun things in-between. Beach doing some of his favorite things one Saturday....
Grilling and washing his truck, which Ezra was happy to  help with.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daddy daughter date with Zoe!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Smoothie one day...
and somebody got a little crazy with it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra created a really great car show with the help of Shiloh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After movie dancing to the credits is often sill a thing around here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The kids loved having an old friend of Beach's over for dinner!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One thing the kids have asked to do for a long time is to visit the little beach at the dam.
The girls spent hours playing in the water!
Ezra joined them but really enjoyed the sand play.
I chose to try to focus on the beauty that was around, and not the trash, and how much fun the kids were having.
Hours of swim = lots of smiles & not wanting to leave.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the summer bucketlist for Shiloh....picnic on the old golf course.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My parents were awesome and had all their grands over for a couple of nights for Camp Grand.
They all loved it and it was so special for them to do that!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beach and I made a date night out of one of the evenings and took out the truck.
Local flight!
And a charcuterie platter to share!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last summer movie!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shiloh surprised me with breakfast one morning and brought out an unrecognizable dish.  She is all about creating, and while I was hesitant, this egg blueberry creation wasn't bad!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One last playdate at the park!
And it was fun to see all the new additions!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Breakfast at Beach's parents one Saturday morning.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The start of something new for Zoe and me, homeschool.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One more pool party, this one put on by Zoe's orthodontist.  Pizza was enjoyed...
as well as snow cones.
Ezra loved playing ball with me...
and the girls were brave in jumping off the high dive.
It was Shiloh's first time, so she started small and worked up her courage.
It was truly a fun evening.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Off to another party, this time it was the Free Times Best of Columbia.
One more selfie in the parking garage.
We were thankful that many of our key employees could join us for the fun to celebrate winning best coffee in Columbia!  This is a great honor as there are so many awesome spots in out town.
No harder and more deserving men then these two, who also won best small business owner and best barista.
Many people may not even realize that I work on things behind the scenes but there is so much to do and think about.  I am thankful that Beach and I can use our opposite giftings to make it work.
While I missed taking photos of some in our group I did get to snag a couple of fun ones.
They always do such a fantastic job with all their decor and creativity!
It is no surprise that it is a sold out event full of celebration.
The theme was cruise ship....
and we had a merman offer to take our picture, so of course we took him up on it.
Fun lighting for me to win at putt putt.
I'm the opposite of a gambler, but when there is no real money involved it turns out to be pretty fun.

Topping out the month with a new activity for Zoe, aerial yoga.
Now that she is homeschooled, she is able to attend this Monday morning class that she loved!
My star.
Thankful for new beginnings and celebrations.
