March Leftovers

March brought a whirlwind of activity, both at work and at home—some really hard things, alongside moments of celebration. Between birthdays for Shiloh, Ezra, and extended family, it was also a full and active season. Zoe even started something new, joining her school’s soccer team.
Zoe scored the first goal of the season, as well as an additional goal!
So excited to play with friends and have another friend watch her game.
Zoe was surprised to find that her cross country coach had come to see them play.

 Shiloh was so excited to have a friend come over for a couple of hours.
And she brought her a birthday gift as well.
They enjoyed baking up a treat.

More soccer!

What a joy to celebrate one of our fantastic barista's wedding!
I was thankful that Shiloh was able to join Beach and myself (as she had bonded with working with Sadie).  We enjoyed some dancing but only managed to take a taco selfie.

Selfie round up found on my phone this month....
And we out.....off to catch up on more work and to get ready for the celebrations that next month will hold!

Cheer - (Part 2 - Basketball)

 Once football cheer season ended, it was not long before Shiloh's basketball cheer season began and the activity got moved inside.
Most of the time, that meant Shiloh was leading the cheers from a seated position.
Sometimes between quarters, they would do a stunt or jumps.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A bit later, the cheer teams had their banquet, kicking things off with a game between a team representative and their coach. Shiloh participated and won for C-team.
While receiving their awards, her coach said some very touching things about our girl.
Shiloh received the cheer award, an academic award for maintaining a 3.5 or higher, and a separate award for best attendance.
All the girls!
And her team that was able to come that evening.
They had the sweetest personalized photos for the girls.
Shiloh with her coach!
A photo with her cheer Big Sis!
And that’s a wrap on her second year of cheer. I’m especially thankful she was able to finish out the season and attend the banquet, as her health challenges really began to intensify toward the end. It was a reminder of how much strength, grace, and perseverance she carried through it all. I’m so thankful for her spirit and God carrying her through the year.
More Celebrating of Shiloh (and Glenn & Danielle)
Since it’s birthday season, we celebrated Shiloh on her birthday and then her grandfather Glenn the following week. We had them over for dinner and a mini joint celebration. He surprised the girls with a pink BB gun!
Shiloh very much liked it.
Learning a new skill.
Burgers are always a hit with this crew!
The birthday goers.
Grampa got to open his present...
A special car cleaner that he requested.
We enjoyed a few rounds of Kids Against Maturity, which led to plenty of laughs.
Shiloh had a friend over that day, and the two of them made and decorated a little cake together.
It was a hit!
Happy Birthday!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day the double celebration continued with my side of the family at my parents’ house for lunch to celebrate Danielle and Shiloh.
Their birthdays are only three days apart… and a few decades.
And some gifts!
I was thankful for the family time and that Shiloh was able to celebrate with everyone during this season.
