Keeping up with May

I mistakenly thought May would be a slower month, now that we had gotten through most of our birthdays.  However, between the field trips, last minute school activities, mother's day, field days, a fun baseball game, and our anniversary is was anything but slow.
Beach was in a good friend's wedding, and when the rain cleared up it was beautiful!
The ring bearers/flower girls were traded in for the "Bud light boys" and made quite a hit.
The the main show was stunning!
It is crazy how we will be coming up on 17 years this month!
A beautiful farewell!
It had been non-stop days for Beach and he was well exhausted before the night was through.....once we finally got home he hit the bed hard!

Strawberry season is here!
We had some awesome friends and my mom join us.
The kids loved having friends along and enjoyed the day so much more.
It was an unusually cool Saturday, but the kids still enjoyed their strawberry slushies!
They hid in between rows of flowers!
Happy goofy crew!
Thanks Lever Farms, it was another great trip and we will be back!

I love watching Ezra and Zoe play soccer as they seem to enjoy it so!  I realize I much prefer the outdoor setting than to the small, crowded, loud location of the gym during basketball season.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was disappointing that their last soccer night got rained out.
The kids still seemed to enjoy just being together.
Ezra had a fantastic coach and he made sure the team still got a group shot and award time.
I loved how they seemed to celebrate each other!
Zoe got her medal as well, proud of this crew!
When your kid is over chores and lets you know she finished before heading out to play one Saturday morning!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra showed his strength in moving a bag of mulch on his own.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the stressors of this world seem so heavy!  I enjoy some time outside resetting.  Ezra joined me with some swing time!
After another doctor's appointment and having to drive back from downtown, a worn out child finds a way to get some rest!  I feel this is a perfect picture of how I have felt most of the month.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There were a couple of visits to Urgent Care that lasted a few hours.  Thankfully Zoe just sprained her wrist.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some party fun at a friend's full house!
Zoe enjoyed the hemp and face paintings!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of my besties had a murder mystery party that was a lot of fun. Beach was the butler and I was the housekeeper.
Our host!
While the "killer" was chosen at random when we got there, it ended up being the driver (and husband) and made it that much more fun!
Being that he was a former cop....it wasn't hard for him to escape 😂
It was so great just to be together and laugh and enjoy each others company!

Over memorial day weekend, the kids camped with dad in the backyard.
I enjoyed the hanging out and roasting marshmallows part.
I couldn't get over the bugs in order to hang with them all night (and Zoe ended up joining me inside).  However, memories were made!
Despite the business, thankful for all of these opportunities to be with others!
