May Days

May brings another couple special birthdays, with my mom up first.  Since Ezra is now into drawing, he enjoyed telling her all about the card he made for her!
So dearly loved by us all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had a pretty fun filled women's Max Living event to kick off the month as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We still had some gorgeous weather this month and took advantage of if when we could.
A walk outside is such a great way to reset for us all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was sad to not get to help at field day this year (still no visitors allowed)....Shiloh was ready to pop out of the car with all that she had prepared for the day, though.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We were thrilled that Shiloh finished her additional round of eye therapy!!  We celebrated by getting some boiled peanuts.
Chick-fil-a picnic night again before soccer to complete the celebration.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One beautiful half school day I, also, picked up the cousins and we headed to the park.
We had enough time for a coffee pick up for smiles for all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I confess, though, it feels like I have been pretty busy with work/all the other upkeep in life things, that I haven't been able to do a lot with the kids to enjoy this beautiful weather.  So trying to be more intentional with capturing some moments of fun now that we are done with all the sports and after school activities.
While we always see the locks when we drive over the damm, we have spent little time truly checking them out.  So we had a surprise stop after school to do just that.
Per usual, there were many outtake photos...
It was an interesting fun little outing that brought us all joy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We usually go strawberry picking during spring break, but this year it didn't seem to happen.  With our window of time to pick drawing to an end (the kids would not be happy if we choose to pick when it was in the 90s), we squeezed in another outing after school.
We were the only ones picking at the time, and it was nice to let the kids roam.
Per tradition, we were thankful that Grammy could come with us, even though she was battling a headace.
Shiloh brought a scarf in which she was able to have the bucket hang around her.  She is always up to creating something!
So thankful that we got to have some yummy picking fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of picking....the kids have been begging to go on a bike ride on the former golf course.  It is filled with huge hills and makes this momma heart pretty nervous.  Daddy went with us, though, and we all returned safe.
The girls and I stopped for wild blackberries along the way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra wanted a photo of his lettuce tongue.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I asked Zoe to go and wake up Ezra from a nap, and she takes my phone with her, I end up with this...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Twinning with my middle and she insisted that her teddy bear be in the photo.
And I insisted on one photo without.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cheers to Office Trivia night at the cafe!
Chris won the costume contest of injured Michael.
And the amazing runner up TR, for Dwight (with his prizes).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fun with filters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My adorable oldest has been begging for a haircut, and her sweet grammy was willing to take her.
Such a cute new hairdo....
I say it turned out adorable and she loved it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Learning more about Matcha, and training myself to love it as well!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In finding an old tea set we had, Shiloh got to it in creating a tea party.
She and Ezra got dressed up, we danced to slow songs, and enjoyed the tea and snacks she made.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another day they must had been so worn out, as they both fell asleep in the living room.  Something that I don't think has ever happened.
I uncovered Ezra's head as he had fallen asleep with a blanket over it while in a laundry basket!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uncle William's birthday completes this round of celebrations!
Ezra explained the card he made him and the car he picked out for him.
Complete with his classic dessert!
Happiest of birthdays!!!
We ended the month with a last Loveland visit full of fun.

Last Grand Visit?

It has been months since my in-laws were able to come down to visit again, so we were all excited to see them!  Upon a couple of minutes of their arrival, Donna exclaimed that they were moving down and putting their house on the market the following week.  Therefore, it would be their last visit as they would be moving to Columbia.
Zoe loved showing off her matching new bob haircut.
Presents always seem to come first...and Shiloh was excited to give hers away.
You never quite know what she will come up with!
Then presents for the rest of us...
A box full of their Great Grandma's (who had recently passed) ornaments.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Donna and I went out to lunch and were able to check out a new local spot at the Lil Duck's Treehouse Cafe.  Food was awesome!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another day with dinner out with the family, and Zoe was all about making silly faces...
And persisted....
Until I begged for a smile.
But she was not wanting one with Shiloh in it....oh sisters!
Beach and I got a picture as well, as it was our 17th wedding anniversary.
Being goofty till I make him smile!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Had to capture a picture of the traditional cookie making time!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On a beautiful night, we took them to see a Fireflies baseball game.
Such a nice time!
When a pop fly landed near us the recipient graciously handed Shiloh the baseball.
They were honoring the veterans that game and had them stand up!
We were happy to cheer our veteran on!
Somebody was done by the time I wanted a selfie with him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Little piece of heaven for Beach right there....almost the size of his face!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another day another outing with this adorable crew!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grandpa had given the kids bird feeders that they were to put together, and helped them get them all set up!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Getting a little rest in and Ezra wanted to join me...
he is so cute, though, that I had to capture that adorable face!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Visiting the cafe...
And we had Beach's uncle and family come into town as well!
Always a sweet time to have extra family around!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was such a joy to get together later that Saturday with so many of Beach's extended family!
Another beautiful day and the kids found things to amuse themselves.
Including exploring the garage for Shiloh to decorate Harris.
He didn't seem to mind too much and was a good sport about it!
Then a little more time with the aunt and uncle back at our house.
Beach whipped up a drink for his cousin, Nathaniel.
So god to see him as he now lives in California.
The girls rallied the ladies to a game of Uno.
It was such a sweet visit indeed!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A couple of last photos before they head back to Michigan for the final time.  The three generations of Loveland guys.
And one cute Grandma.
