The Extras of March

I knew that this month would be the busiest month of the year, most likely.  All the littles birthdays are tied up within the month of each other (Shiloh, Ezra and Zoe) and we had our fabulous trip to Guatemala.  So most of the rest of the month I seemed to be playing catch up with it all.
Kicked off the month with a lot of fun with Dr. Sueses' birthday celebration, which the girls were ecstatic about!
I had lunch at school with them, as it was, also, Shiloh's birthday.
Fun cut out in the cafeteria.
My sweet Daisy Head Mayzie!

Before leaving for Guatemala, Beach roasted hundreds of pounds of coffee and I helped bagged a few days.  So Ezra came to the roastery with me.  He has his own bean box (think beans instead of sand) that he gets to play with, and he enjoys bagging his "own coffee" as well!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Such a blessing to visit our friends' new house that is so close now!
Even if it was a quick visit, we soaked it up!
Shiloh even got a thoughtful birthday gift!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Date night out with my man.  Thankful for work event excuses to get dolled up a bit and get to spend some time together!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watching moves with littles can be very entertaining...
Especially when things can get so suspenseful!  There is often a lot of squealing and punching/kicking motions in the air toward the "bad guys".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sweet moments with the littles enjoy independent play!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra does not nap everyday anymore.  Still trying to find that sweet spot of the occasional nap when needed.  If he does get a little one, then this is often my view at car line when we pick up the girls.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I got a coupon text for a haircut and knew Ezra was in need of a trim, we added to the errands for the day.
Since they have little TVs there...he doesn't move at all.
I was not feeling well at the time (still recovering from the bug I got in the airport on our way home), so I didn't give the best instructions on what I wanted for his hair.  Sigh.  Thankful for his cheesy smile anyway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We gave the kids some little treasures that we got them from Guatemala.
They were thrilled...especially over the keychains.
It was fun bringing home a little bit of the trip back to them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gifts for my parents, too!  We wouldn't be able to go to Guatemala without them so graciously watching our littles for us!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another work event turned into date night...so fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Playing with some of the recent birthday presents, including spray chalk and silly string.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Car games with dad...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Loving these beautiful days to play outside. (Ezra doesn't mind using his sister's things.)

Such an amazing full month full of so much to be thankful for!  Treasuring all the big memories and the little ones in-between!

Celebrating Ezra

My sweet little birthday boy!  We woke up to his birthday and I knew Ezra wasn't feeling well.  Despite not having a fever, he was not his usual self and stated his stomach hurt.  Oh dear, I was afraid that he had caught the bug that I brought home from the airport, poor thing!!  (I wasn't sure if it was a bug or something I ate but this let me know!)  He was pretty thirsty and kept requesting water, as I snuggled with him in my bed.  However, that backfired when he ended up throwing up all over the middle of my bed.  I hated that for him!  A few more times of that, though, and he was done with it and ready to move on!
I still wasn't so sure but midmorning I moved him out to the living room, where he opened his card and gift from his grandparents.
He loved the tool kit, especially since he doesn't have anything else like it.
We took it easy the rest of the morning, getting to watch TV and so many shows truly is a treat.  Then got a thoughtful gift from our neighbors (who I did not get a picture with because I didn't want him to get to close).
Ezra first remote control car and he loved it!!
It was such a beautiful day that I wanted Ezra to be able to experience some of it (since we could do little else), so we went on a walk and he enjoyed riding in the stroller.  Also, he did end up staying in his PJs all day (advantages of not feeling well)!
My walking buddies.
By dinner time, he really perked up and was able to enjoy his requested meal.
Big 5!
So afterward, we set to work making some healthy cupcakes.
He so enjoys helping out and I was so thankful he was better to do so!
While they baked, Ezra opened a few gifts from the family.
Then a little treat for my sweet!

And some snuggle time to watch his movie of choice for a bit before bed!  While it was not the day I was planning on, it was sweet all the same, and I am so happy he ended up feeling better!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thankfully, it had been over 24 hours that he was sick and ready for his party!  I had snagged this little deal at the girls school auction months prior and it ended up being prefect for Ezra!
He got a new little uniform and many friends and family were able to come.
They had different obstacles to go through and a little class.
I think the boys especially enjoyed running around and all the action!
They had a mini class, where Ezra got to be the assistant.
Despite how shy he can be, Ezra really got into it!
More punching practice...
Then they each got to break a board, what could be better?  A group picture...
and a silly one!
The best thing about the cake was that Ezra got to cut it with a sword...
a huge deal for a 5-year-old!
Gift time, full of all things boy!
At the end, they wrote Ezra's name on it for him!
Now officially official!
Such a fun (and easy for momma) party!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lastly our extended family celebration, which means Ezra got to pick the family meal...
hot dogs, always hot dogs!
5-year-old cousin love!
Then a little family gifts.

And of course, CAKE!  Made way cooler if you put cars on top!
Happiest of birthdays to our sweet boy!  You are deeply loved and we celebrate you as another exciting year is around the corner!
