January Shenanigans

There is something fresh about a new year...
We did enjoy some new Christmas games that brought much laughter!
Focusing on the new skills!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The last few years, we have celebrated the new with some new life around the house.  Seeing if this fella will enjoy his new home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The littlest of littles aren't so little anymore!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Basketball season has started with a kickoff, and all three are participating this year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Date night to celebrate 10 years at Max Living!
We don't know how to take mirror selfies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kids playing around with cartoon filter; I think they are pretty adorable.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part of Zoe's Christmas gift was going on a date - shopping and lunch with her Grammy.
My kids don't have a lot of mall experience...they had a great time!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
January was full of many a quarantining!   Ezra has been my quarantined buddy this month, where he went to actual school very little with a total of four quarantines.  Fortunately, he had a great attitude (most of the time).
There was some office week he, also, got to be a part of!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
100th day of school and Shiloh was very excited to dress up with whatever materials that she had, including flowering her hair.
She actually reminded her teacher that dressing up like a 100 year-old was a thing, so I don't believe there were many others doing so, but she did not mind!
Ezra was very sad to miss his "favorite day of school" but did want to make me eggs.
He enjoyed his 100 exercises assignment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Quick stop at the library garden and he wanted his picture taken...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Staff meeting, this round included roasting training.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra was finally able to join some basketball games and seemed to enjoy such....
as did the girls!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The littles made their own chocolate whip cream, so of course we had to try it on top of a latte (for me)...
and a steamer for them....which they, also, wanted to take a picture of and stage it just to their liking!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Topped off the month with another round of Covid for poor Shiloh (and I believe myself, as well, but very mild).  She desperately wanted my hand on her cheek!
Whhooo, it has been a month, but thankful for the good times!
Finally a Snow Day
It actually happened!  After getting a fake out (with church canceled and everything) the weekend before, it was a surprise to see the possibility again of snow that Friday night.
It didn't start till later in the evening, so the kids stayed up to get some amazing fun in.
They got to play and explore the snow with the neighbors as well.
So many squeals of excitement and snowballs.
We greatly missed Zoe that night, as she was spending the night with her bestie, but did get this picture.
It was hard for them to come in, but I explained that when they woke up, there would be so much more to play with the next day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day was truly glorious and beautiful!
The kids had a blast.
Ezra has never seen snow like this!
My snow angel!
They tried many things for sledding, including a cookie sheet, boogie board, and kayak.
We headed to the former golf course with our board and cookie sheet.
However, the best by far, was getting to try out an actual sled that the neighbors shared with the littles.
It was very kind of them and they truly had a blast!
The hot husband of mine.
The kids attempted to eat the snow on many occasions.
They were not into attempting to make snowman when I wanted, however, they later surprised me with a little one that they made themselves on the porch.
And we tried making snow cream for the first time, and it was so good and easy to whip up.   (We waited for Zoe to come home to join us for this!)
Zoe was pretty worn out from her sleepover, and fell asleep multiple times attempting to fold landry.
It was truly a day to be celebrated and so thankful that my littles got to enjoy this amazing aspect of nature!
