Finding the July Fun

With the world still mostly shut down, we continued with creative ways to have fun in July.
The littles finished up their virtual summer camp, where Ezra worked on his community painting.
He did a great job and his teacher was awesome!
Ezra was proud of his completed project that represented many of the things in his community (his class).
He, also, took karate, which he really enjoyed as well!

Sending a picture in to his teacher.
Shiloh had her own class of such and really enjoyed it, too.

The girls and their first completed pillow making projects (the embroidery was already there).
They were pretty proud of their new skill and worked hard on it!

Things are moving along with our new building.
We brought the kids one day to carve their names into some wet cement.
This little corner, not really noticeable by many, but will mark this new beginning for our family...
and we will have the years to come to look back at this Ebenezer in time.
(Also, writing with a nail can be challenging.)
We don't know all that the Lord has in store for this place, but we are so excited about what He is going to do!

With temps being oh so very hot lately, it makes outdoor time a bit of a challenge.  We visited the little garden at the library before picking up our books one day.
A couple of pictures and looking around...
was all that they really wanted to do in the heat.
That day I got a little nap buddy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Game creator Shiloh, came up with another one during family night, this time involving a blindfold.
Ezra is pretty good at keeping himself entertained!
Zoe returned to eye therapy this month.  After dropping her off, the other littles and I headed to spend a little time at Riverfront Park.
Sweet smiles.  It's been awhile since we have been here!
Silly kiddos!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra wanted a picture with his created play area.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had a quick date night with my middle!  I didn't time it out quite right, and Pelicans (her choice for the date) had already closed. So we picked up a frosty and headed to the dam to see if we could catch the sunset.
Living here all these years, and I never knew you could actually see the sunset on the water on the Lexington side!  I beheld it recently when I was driving over the dam, and was so blown away by the beauty, I knew I had to share!
We, then, walked for a bit and Shiloh enjoyed examining all the different locks that have been added to the fence.  She is a decorator at heart, so she found this quite interesting.
The only July birthday in the fam....uncle Aaron.
Always cards from the kiddos.
Zoe included a portrait of Aaron as well.
Shiloh wanted to give him some cash!
But, also, included some art.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When an appointment got cancelled, we spent some time in the park.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra got to go with daddy for a father son haircut, and they both loved it!
The only way I could rouse him from his nap later was to tell him his hair was getting messed up.  In which he hopped up and went to brush it.
One morning the kids insisted that they make me breakfast in bed.  I may have had to get back in bed to eat it, but it was such a sweet thought.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra is really into building lately, and wanted to take pictures of his creations from many different angles.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pool time with friends!  Ezra got to play with one of his classmates from this previous year.
Zoe loved practicing swimming with a snorkel.
We mostly had the pool all to ourselves.
Their family has the same age kids!
Ice cream treats from the hosts.
We had so much fun, and the mommas loved catch up, that we ended up staying 5 hours!
So it was no wonder that Ezra, pink cheeked and all, needed a good nap when we got home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My dad sure does love his big old puppy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We attempted to burn our stumps that were left from the tornado a couple of months prior.
The large Cedar stump ended up burning for a week!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The kids have been wanting me to ride bikes with them on the golf course.  It is a lot of fun but my momma heart got a little nervous of all the large hills!
We stopped to check out some honeysuckles.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The girls got into creating things in the kitchen, including lunch for me...
Some penut butter/chocolate parfaits...
and an interesting platter, including some real and fake food.  It is fun to see their creativeness.
With all that is going on in the world and where we are at as a family, I have spent a lot of time in the Word.  This verse especially spoke to me during this time, and what we will return to in our hearts.
