Shiloh - 2nd Grade

While my little artist may not have produced as much work this year, she did still have some really great pieces.
A sweet family picture card that Shiloh made for my birthday, "Mom, I hope you are feeling better and I love you soo.  I'm sorry that your card is kind of late but it is made. Happy Birthday.  Love, Shiloh."

A comic strip Shiloh made inspired by Love!
And then one about Cats!

The new year and kicking off the goals...
Shiloh just loved her teacher, Mrs. Parker so much! "The Best Part of Last Year: Mrs. Parker."
"In 2020 I will learn to basketball and try to be kind"
"My goal....be kind"

I found something that Shiloh had made at home: "We Love 1. We love when we don't want to. 2. If we didn't love we would suffer!!!  3. Love is very important!  4. Don't stop loving."
Very well said my sweet girl!

From Shiloh's art class this year...
One of her favorites!
This was a really interesting rubbing piece.
And some abstract pieces as well.

A quickly made card...

Shiloh mainly worked on big projects while schooling at home.  During her unit on Fairy Tales she was to explain if she liked fairy tales or fables better and chose to do so in pamphlet form...
"I think fairy tales are better because...
1.There is magic and ...2. happy endings 3. In fairy tails anything can happen.
Now and finally, get some fairy tales off the dusty shelf and get reading..."

"How to sweep the floor."

Shiloh had an assignment to write her own fairy tale, which she worked hard on.  Of course she had to include many illustrations as well.
"Under the Sea
Once upon a time there was a mermaid named Violet and a merman named Bill. Bill has a pet goldfish named Sam. Bill likes to ride Sam. Violet has a pet seahorse named Love.  Violet also likes to ride Love."
"Octopus was trying to take over the ocean.  He was spraying ink at everyone and making them be controlled by Octopus."
"Violet and Bill and Octopus go into a cave, and there was magic in the cave. and the controlled animals were guarding it.  Bill and Seahorse stayed back and distracted them while Violet and Goldfish got the magic.  They ran all the way to Octopus and threw it at Octopus and everything went back to normal.  Hurray!  They lived happily ever after.  The End!"
I somehow missed taking pictures of her large poster projects.  While we both were not prepared to have school suddenly stop, we persevered together.  I know it was a challenge for Shiloh to have her mommy as her teacher for the last few months, but we stuck it out together with many pep talks in between!
