February Love and Celebrations

A warmer February was welcomed, as the kick off to birthday season began in my family.  Both Lauren and Adalyn are just a day a part so we celebrate together.
There is always a cousin circle during the gift time.
Handmade cards of love.

The kids have never gone to a school dance and Shiloh was all about it this year, so we went as a family.
At least the youngest of the two (Zoe would have loved to have joined us if allowed).
The blacklight decorations, with all the glow in the dark items were a lot of fun!
Ezra's favorite thing, and main reason to be there, the snacks.
Shiloh was often busy running around with her friends, but I was able to get a few photo opportunities.
My bud.
Shiloh got into the dancing, too!
While it was more snacks for Ezra!
Move photos with friends and cousin!
We stayed until the very end, till the lights came on, Ezra could do the worn without fear of being stepped on, and the dance floor was tore up!

Valentine's day seems to be a big deal for the littles, and Shiloh started making individual pun cards for each of her classmates and friends weeks prior.  She was very thoughtful in coming up with things that would be individualized for each person and included candy.  I wished I had photoed some of them, as they were well done and very clever.  She, also, made an adorable box for her cards at school.
Shiloh, also, enjoys decorating and getting presents for her siblings.
And some for her parents as well.
The morning brings such joy for them to see everything laid out.
They loved the best yogurt breakfast to date, thanks to Beach's help.
Shiloh was all ready for school.  As an aside, I brought home a balloon banner we had used at work, and she enjoyed all the extra fun energy around.
That night we enjoyed dinner out with Beach's parents.
My turn...
And a dessert platter at home.

The celebration continued the next day at the library, where they had Valentine's bingo and decorated cookies.
I do let them know that they have a choice in what photo I use, but when this is all she gives me...

Homeschool skate day and Zoe was happy to have one of her friends there.
The other littles had the day off from school, so they joined us, too.
It was a first for Ezra and he worked on it until he became proficient.

I started a new thing, a new very intense thing.  Working out in an infrared sauna!  It is amazing for detox, which is something I have been working on for some time,  especially with battling all the mold.
Thankful to get in some joy with all these moments, including Shiloh's Yes Day, as construction with the house has taken up much of our time!

Great Wolf

The kids were very excited to go back to Great Wolf Lodge, this time with Zoe's homeschool co-op.  (The 2 youngest got to skip school to participate, which they didn't mind one bit.)
Since IKEA is on the way and only about 10 minutes from GWL, we all love to make that a part of the trip.
The kids love seeing all the different room layouts and decorations.
The favorite, though, was the "cafe" set up!
All and all they did a great job, were patient when they needed to be, and even enjoyed taking some pictures at times.
It helped to have a yummy lunch to look forward to for us all.

We were thankful that our room was ready for us when we got there, so we could change there quickly and head to the water park.
One of Ezra's memories from when he was little was spraying on this jet ski, and he was happy to recreate it!
It was such a different trip, though, from previous years, as this time the girls were old enough to go off together with friends.  (I failed to get a good picture of Zoe with her buddies.)
It took me awhile to adjust to this new dynamic.
But I did get to spend some time with my girl at the end of the night, after her friends had gone out of the park for the night.
And the rest of the family...
Ezra had a blast with his "booby trap" area.
After dinner and showers, I was happy to go with the littles to story hour, where Shiloh was able to participate in the story time.  It was loud and chaotic, and she joined in!
Warming by the fire.
Up next a dance party and the tweens got into the line dancing.
She is growing so fast.

When we got back to the room, we found that the rest of the crew was pretty wiped out.
Whether they liked it or not, it is a must to recreate this picture.
Howe!!!
Even though we slept in a bit, it was a challenge for the girls to get up.
But we did and were ready for the park even before it opened.
The girls were over the pictures.
My little fishy loves the pool
Ezra gained some more confidence in the water.
My boys!
Thankful for this time with them...
He prefers a silly face photo.
Then it was off to IKEA again.  There pickup wasn't working, so we quickly searched around to pick up the other things we needed, enjoyed dinner, and a yummy dessert.
Well deserved for great behavior and encouragement for the ride home.
