Is it fall yet? (Sept '18)

This month has been very full of extreme highs and lows!  Besides my birthday, here are some other highlights of the month!
Ezra has been anticipating starting soccer for months!  His cute self has been loving it and he has a great little buddy on his team!
Beach's sponsored the team this year, and Ezra got to pick his number...so he was pretty excited!
My sweet boys.
All the parents make a little tunnel at the end to help celebrate!

So thankful that Beach is able to fix so many things.
Ezra got in on the action in helping fix the bikes!

Labor day rolled around and my body was not a fan, as I woke up struggling.  But since the girls were  home, I wanted to try to savor the moments and took them to a "new to us" park downtown.
By far the favorite item was the zip line that the girls did endlessly.
I am not having caffeine everyday, but today I had to break the rules a bit and snag one so the outing would happen.  There is just something about motivation in a cup!
Another drawl to this adorable park was the little splash pad.
The girls enjoyed it for maybe two minutes...
and then were joining me asking for snacks.  (Ignore my scary face here and focus on the cute girl's smile.)  I have to come to grips with the fact that they were a bit beyond this phase now. Momma sigh.  Huge sigh. They were soon off for more zip lining.
Ezra however, could have played there all day.
So saving these sill little moments while they last!

This is what a kid's dinner may look like if Shiloh helps (well part of it at least)!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Took little man to a pre-school library program (since he isn't in school I thought it even more beneficial).  His favorite by far is the bubbles at the end!  It will be a very sad day when there is not so much joy received out of them!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra has been asking repeatedly about getting a haircut.  I just can't bring myself to cut off all his curls yet so we just popped in for a quick trim.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The littles were excited to go to the children's "worship party" at church.  While I didn't manage any clear pictures of the large group singing time, as it as a bit more chaotic, I did take a few during the breakout times.
I'm pretty sure this was the first time the kids have seen a hamster.
Sweet little boys that managed to sit long enough for me to take this picture...
I think the energy doubles when they get together!  But those smiles!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sweet Shepherd's birthday party and it was a nice relaxing one, so much so that I only took this one picture!  We all enjoyed it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I am encapsulating some of my own supplements....noting to crazy (you know like vitamins and salt).  But the crazy part is how much the girls want to be involved.  So much so that they want to do most of it themselves!  Who knew it would be such a fun activity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Twinsies day for these two.
Of course she wanted to do a silly face one!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ezra really wanted to take a picture next to this cone with his buddy.  I attempted the best I could.  However, it was at a large cost...
Feeling pain in my foot, I checked down to see that I was being attacked by aunts. I'm pretty allergic and they did a number on my foot, which I wanted to chew off in the car!
Cashing in on our reading coupons!  Zoe loves getting some bites of daddy's burrito!  It was a huge realization when the young parents next to us stopped me upon leaving to tell me how well behaved our children were, they couldn't believe it.  I assured her it would get easier, and I realized really how very far my own kids have come to have such a peaceful dinner out!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hurricane season resulted in almost a week off from school in anticipation of the storm Florence coming.  Tons of outdoor play was in store...including making a leaf pile and letting them fall!
 So much joy!  Now if the 90 degree temperatures would catch up to the falling leaves spirit.

Play date while the storm holds out!
 Fun creature spotting's along the way.

These girls love spinning, and I get dizzy just looking at them!
 Sweet boys!
 Megan captured this one of Zoe watching the turtles.

 I call Shiloh my finder because I never know what she is going to come up with!
 Sweet goodbyes as well!

Big Boy on his Big Wheels.

It was a miracle, as I was determined to get out of the house and make it to Tales for Tots at the girls' school (it starts bright and early at 8).  We made have been the only ones but we still had a great time!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 After many rough days in-between, I needed to get out of the house one Monday, and when a friend asked about the zoo, it was the push I needed.
These little boys (and their mommas) had such a blessed time in the coming fall weather!
Thankful for a sweet friend to listen to all my junk and still love me anyway!  She is also such a great momma and inspires me by her presence.
 The likelihood that they would run away was always lessened with some handholding.
 For real my favorite part!  Finally getting to see the baby gorilla.  I just LOVED it and found such sweetness in this moment!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Johnny Appleseed celebration at the library!
 Always fun to run into friends there and to have some healthy snacks!

So I have had a little recent concern about the girls' eyes, and we had a great first time visit to the ophthalmologist.
Shiloh wasn't really into me taking a picture (and I was busy with paperwork when it was Zoe's turn) but it turns out that the girls will get some well needed glasses in the near future!
While we were there they explained how it was good to have Ezra's eyes checked as well.  Thankful he has great sight!

For real, one of my favorite all time things to do each year with the kids is the Okra Strut Parade.  It really brings a small town feel to everything!
The kids all adore it as well, especially since they all get to collect candy!  Bonus, we were also next to our neighbors!
 No one in the family was in the parade this year and it was kind of nice to be all together!  Even dad was able to join us....but sadly I missed a picture of that!
We camp out near the kiosk, so as to enjoy some good coffee to go with it!
Despite a lot of crazy and emotional and physical hardships this month, we sure did have some great times too!  Choosing to focus on those!
