Celebrations of Shiloh

My sweet Shiloh kicked off birthday season for our family, and what a season it was!  On her actually birthday, Daddy got up early and made her requested blueberry pancakes before school.  The largest of large are always coveted, so a treat indeed (even if she didn't finish it all).
As if life wasn't busy enough, it was also the day to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday, so Shiloh dressed as Cindy Lou Who.
She LOVED it (as did her sister - Daisy Hair Mayzie)!
Shiloh requested that I eat lunch with her at school, and she enjoyed her note in her lunch box as well.
Cute cousin picture!  Shiloh's hair makes her height difference even more radical.  Her cousin is actually a month older than her.
My sweet girl!
Her requested meal for dinner: hot dogs and mac and cheese (easy for this momma)!
She, also, helped me prepare brownies and ice cream.  Candles twice in one day!
Then she opened a few little gifts from us, including a dress from her grandmother.

The next day we celebrated with a little birthday party at the park.  Confession: planing parties stress me out.  The littles have not had one since their joint party four years ago!  However, I had been feeling better and all their begging meant they all got (simple) parties.  Shiloh loves planing parties more than anyone I know, so she was in heaven doing her jam and in the middle of everything.  She wanted to do it at a local park, Seven Oaks, "Because I am turning 7 after all!"
The weather report leading up to the day was seriously playing with my heart, as each day, literally, it would change on if it was going to rain, mostly looking horribly.  I, also, did not hear back from her classmates (she wanted to invite her whole class) - until the last minute and feared we wouldn't have anyone there.  Then Beach's great uncle passed away and he was to be a pull barrier at his funeral in Greenville (and we couldn't go).  That along with my personality of wanting everyone to feel comfortable and this momma was so anxious!  Do you ever struggle with such when you KNOW something truly isn't a big deal?
BUT GOD!  He truly blessed us with a wonderful afternoon and perfect weather.  I had many helpers, including my beautiful sister who volunteered to do face painting. My parents helped decorate (which I apparently got no pictures of) and bonus points for my mom for helping keep my nerves down.

Keeping with Shiloh's chosen theme of Princesses, we played a game of making our own Tangled Rapunzels!
The kids did a great job and it was (mostly) pretty comical.
We had a cupcake decorating station, which was a big hit...

and a station to make your own necklaces from cereal.
Singing and celebrating our sweet girl!
Shiloh adored having her friends there!  She is one little social girl!
Of course she was taken with all her thoughtful gifts as well!
Some little friends even stayed later and enjoyed getting some extra play!  Then Shiloh wanted to pass out all her balloons to the other people that happened to be at the park, which may have been my favorite!  She is such a giver!

The celebration was not over, though!  She got a card in the mail from her great grandmother...
and it was off to dinner at may parents and a few more family gifts.
Shiloh was especially excited to get from her aunt Lauren an American Girl Doll that used to be my sister's, some 20-something years ago.
She was so surprised and trilled!
The cousins, also, always love to give little treasures that they picked out (sometimes around the house).
And cards, always cards!
We, also, celebrated Danielle's birthday!
Thankful that she was well enough to join us!
Mugs and essential oils seemed to be the theme this year!
Two special lights blowing out their candles.
Off to recover from the busy blessed weekend!  I'm so glad that the party planner herself was pleased with all the fun.  So thankful to get to celebrate our special girl turning 7!
