Anakeesta, Waterfall, and Game Night (TN Trip - Day 4)

Since the previous day at Dollywood was such a long busy one, we had a slower start to visit Anakesta in Gatlinburg.
The motion sickness is real with this one!
The huge lines of everyone else seemingly doing the same thing meant we took the open air buses to the top to save time.
We could spy those on the ski lift on the way there.
The grounds are beautiful and had many fun lego sculptures throughout.
The peacock was one of my favorites!
Being on top of a mountain meant beautiful views all around.
One of Beach's pictures....he has always been drawn to lines!
The ropes playground was a hit with the kids...
and the girls found a "secret hideout".
I spy the lookout tower...
and Ezra and Lauren looking out from the kids tower.
While beautiful this day was especially HOT.
My fam jam.
Thankful for parents that are up for exploring where ever with us.
Next we climbed the high tower...
which and some fun see through floors.
Great picture opportunities!
Fun things to do all along the way....
Next up are the many rope bridges....
A very slow group up ahead meant we had many photo shots.
One more little kid area.
And some would say the best part on a hot day...
an ice cream break with a view.
Some have unusual ways to eat such.
A fun part that I was looking forward to was taking the sky lift back down the mountain.
However, I did not anticipate how nervous this would make me and my anxiety kicked in big time!!  (Maybe taking some pictures will distract me.)  I was counting my blessings that the kids were older and not as squirmy as they were when they were little.
I was the only one with this issue, thankfully, and the rest enjoyed the ride.

We cooled off in the car, ate some lunch, and headed to our next stop seeing a different area of the Great Smoky Mountains National park.  The first stop being the visitor center.  Zoe loves foxes.
Behind it they had a trail that was about a mile that led to a waterfall.
While it was not a huge waterfall, it was beautiful nonetheless.
Such an amazing root system!
It was an easy peaceful walk that was the best fit for some of the tired in our bunch.

Back at the cabin, after dinner, Zoe set up a game night on the porch.
We took turns with different areas and it was a great way to wind down from the busy day!
Another full day of fun and filled hearts.
