September Ect... ('25)

Beside many cheer/football nights for Shiloh and cross country meets for Zoe, in September we, also, celebrated my birthday, Zoe went to her homecoming dance, and we all went to a USC football game to watch Shiloh cheer. That keep us pretty busy but a couple of other memories in the month...
Ice cream date with the middle child!

The kids gets a little bit of a dog fix when we visit my parents.

Selfies on my phone this month....
My phone is not safe at work either if a child is there.

The Okra Strut parade is something we always look forward to.  We realized we had gotten rid of most of our collapsible chairs, so I just sat on Zoe for awhile.
Curbside for the action, including the blow up Okra!
The kids always love all the goodies that they get!

Sweet moment captured by a friend behind us at church.
Thankful for the time we do get to spend with family during this busy season!

Zoe's Homecoming Dance

Zoe wanted to go with friends to Homecoming, but still wanted to do so in a cute way and make a poster and basket for one of her bestie to ask her.
They have a very sweet friendship.
I love that they don't have to worry about a date and can just enjoy being together! While she does not go to school with them anymore, they are able to bring a friend and were so excited to do so.  Quick pizza before all the fun!
Then we headed outside to take photos!
I took a ton, wanting to capture all the beauty and love.
Angels.
And some individual ones...
One last silly one - a 67 marking it's place in time!
And then it was off to the main event, and I dropped them off at school.  There was some drama later reported but the girls are so supportive of each other and did have a lot of good memories!

USC Football Game

Shiloh had the opportunity to cheer with her school team at a USC football game.  This was such an exciting and fun honor for their group!  While my kids have seen games on TV, they have never been to one in person (and I only had been to a couple when I was in grad school there).  While we did leave in time, the traffic was almost at a stand still where we were supposed to drop Shiloh off.  She ended up being a little late but not the only one.  I was relieved to get her safely there and we headed to our friend's tailgating spot.
Some photos of my other beautiful girl!
Got sent this fun picture from her coaches of where the team was at!
My kids were not loving tailgating, and I could have had them be better prepared, as Beach and I just chatted with our friends.
But they did get subs!
Heading into the stadium there was a rainbow in the sky!
We had not so great seats with many of the other cheer families. We were in the visitors section but there were not that many Kentucky fans there it seemed.
Ezra was not into taking photos at the time.
It was such a beautiful night, until it really wasn't and these huge dark clouds were right above us and it began to sprinkle.
We were not prepared for rain and there was no way to get under any type of shelter quickly where we were sitting, which felt very vulnerable. I just prayed for it to pass, or else we would be soaked the rest of the night, and fortunately it did, which seemed like a miracle.
The engergy of being at the game was truly exciting and like nothing else!
It turned out to be one of the best games in the seasons with many Gamecock touchdowns and flag waving.
Then during half time all the schools got to perform.  I thought there was no way we would be able to make out Shiloh, but her team actually ended up being the ones closest to us.
And we could actually pick her out in the group!
After the third quarter, the crowd had thinned, since they were doing so well, and we made our way to the other side of the stadium where Shiloh was watching with who was left.  Cheering still going strong!
Shiloh wanted to stay to the very end and soak it all up!
We all had such a great time even though it had been a very full day.  Shiloh declared that we should do this every Saturday (but once in a season, or every few years, was good for me).
