New Building Prep/Transition

When we bought the building for Loveland Coffee Cafe back in December of 2019, we knew that there was a lot of work to be done.  Much of the labor was through Hill Construction.  Best be assured, Beach was there everyday for months to make sure all the details went according to plan and fit his perfectionistic standards.
There were some projects along the way that we did ourselves to save some money.  One project was to paint and prep the patio and large outdoor wall.  I was thankful to be able to jump in and help.
While I have never used a painting poll, I enjoyed seeing the process and making the black disappear!  Beach helped me get the top part and my awesome sister, Lauren, touched up the bottom.
Since I did not take many personal pictures of the whole process beforehand, I decided to act like paparazzi for this project and take pictures from all angles.
Alright love, I'm done with that!
Boom, one more thing done off of the list and the excitement builds! (We hope to add a mural on the wall in the future, but this was step one).

So not only were we preparing a brand new building, but we, also, had to move everything out of our current warehouse.  This included all the many new furniture boxes that had arrived.  We had some amazing family, friends, and even strangers show up to help and knock it out in a day!  Can you spot the dude in the truck?
They were simply amazing!  We had some more clean up to do later, and Ezra got into the action.
Zoe enjoyed the one chair that was left.

The biggest thing we held our breath and many prayers for, was moving the roaster.  This was a HUGE deal if something were to happen, but thankful God provided just the right help and all was well.
Into its new home (accessories still to come)!
A bit surreal being in this empty space again.
With some help of warehouse neighbors, Beach was able to remove the roaster venting with the balancing use of pallet and a forklift.

We spent a lot of time in the building with finishing up the details.  The kids got to see some of the pieces come together while they were with us for a bit.
The girls asked if I could take this picture.  They are pretty cute!

We tripled our staff in opening the cafe and many folks had waited a long time to come on board.  We were thankful to show them around during our first large staff meeting.
While I have been by his side for the journey, I was so impressed in how Beach had thoroughly thought through so many details.  He is amazing!
It was exciting to have our future staff get to see and imagine everything with us!
While it would have been ideal for everything to be done for them at this point....it wouldn't be long...

We knew that there was a lot of buzz around us opening, so we decided to sell VIP tickets to have a soft opening for several small parties throughout our first day!  We wanted everything to be manageable, creating a great first experience for our new staff and guests.
It was a great way to start as we got to ease into things, all the while enjoying our guests.
I had a little helper for part of the day.
Fresh bakery treats for our guest to sample!

I spy a sweet little ZZ plant that has a new home on our bar, special gift from my aunt and uncle in Florida.
My former boss sent me this beautiful bouquet for our opening!

Our Grand opening was a bit of a mad house where we felt a huge amount of love and support from the community with a large line out the door.
Ribbon cutting ceremony made it official!
So very proud of my man and blown away by our God!
I had some sweet visitors from my previous work,
which was very special to make an amazing day even better!

Don't be fooled, though, most of my work is very unglamorous.  While we were able to open the doors in November, there was still details to finish up.  Getting the conference room setup ment floors to scrub.

Shortly after opening, we celebrated Christmas as a staff together and my parents came to help watch the littles as well.
Selfie!
Potluck table of goodness.
Daniel was great in volunteering to head up the games,
including a white elephant game.
Presents for all!
And a sweet little somethings for the newest baby to come.
It was a whirlwind of several months, really, and while we may not have caught our breath yet, we are thankful to finally be settling in this huge blessing the Lord has provided, getting to provide hope and love to our community!
