Chasing the Lights

The week before Christmas is, by far, always our busiest week at work!  So we were very thankful that Beach was able to see the lights at Saluda Soles with us.
We got there early and waited in line, basically because I didn't know what time it opened, but it turned out to be to our advantage and worked out really well.
We enjoyed tubbing, a train ride and hayride, with little crowds but much shivering.
We warmed up briefly inside and took some photos...
It was a beautiful night....
with only one kid falling on his face, and needing a piggy back ride for his injuries.

We, also, planned a zoo trip with Beach's parents.  With such difficult weather recently, we found a day that wasn't calling for rain.  However, the weather man was wrong.
But it was not too bad, just drizzly, and actually meant really low crowds.
We still enjoyed all the lights and the lit up animals.
Beach with his momma.
And my turn...
Our whole crew!
We did have see some fun animal sightings as well.
The "snow" did not have quite the same effect in the rain.
Since we made it through so quickly, we grabbed some Mexican for dinner afterward.
Grateful for the opportunities for some holiday lights this year!
