All the Sedona (Out West - Day 3)

I was excited to get exploring out in the wild west of Sedona.  They have so many trails to choose from, but I picked several shorter ones to give it a go for the day and see how we would do.  It was great that our AirB&B was so close to them, and the time change worked to our advantage in getting a decent start time.  We started out with Boynton Vista Trail Vortex.
Getting ready to hike up to the point.
Getting closer....
We made it to the top point.
A kind fellow hiker offered to take a picture of all of us.
We took a little time walking around the large point and enjoyed the views!

Our next hike on Fay Canyon Trail to Arch was nearby.
Fun little crevices.
It was hard to capture the bigness of it all but I tried!
Ezra added his own stack of rocks to some that were there.

The next stop was a little more intense, as the sun had gotten hotter and it was less exciting to get to the view of the highlight of the hike of the Birthing Cave.
The girls decided to rest in the shade, as we took the last bit of the challenge up the steep hike to the cave itself.
It was a beautiful view and interesting land features.

When a donut shop was sold out we found a little bakery for a treat.

After some lunch back at our house, we visited the Tlaquepaque Arts Village exploring some of the stores and beautifully laid out shops.
My sister recommended some tea that was well know at The Chai Spot, which felt very authentic.

Everything was just so pretty, I couldn't help but take pictures.
Ezra was not a Chi fan but we found him a smoothy that he did enjoy!

Next up we visited the Chapel of the Holy Cross that is built into the side of a mountain.
It was pretty amazing.
There was a certain spot to stand where it looked as if Jesus was looking directly at you.  Thinking of the significance of such was very powerful to me.
The senery around it was also so beautiful.

We enjoyed an early dinner at Tortas De Fuego, which must have been unusual as we had the place pretty much to ourselves.
The biggest plates!

With full bellies, we headed out to our final stop of the day, a sunset hike at Bell Rock.
Zoe even snags my phone on hikes for random selfies.
I was surprised that there were not many others doing the same, as it was a pretty easy hike and so beautiful.
It had been a long day and some were feeling it more than others (and were a bit dramatic about it).
We climbed up quite a bit for the sunset but it turned out to be pretty cloudy, so no show on that end that night.  However, a beautiful way to end an amazing day nevertheless!
Sedona we love you!
