Camp Poppy (and Grammy)

Danielle suggested the idea of a family Staycation at my parents new property (she also took most of these fabulous pictures).  Seeing how beautiful it was, and the guys were still able to get some work in, it was a great idea that we took her up on!  Thanks Mom and Dad!
We were greeted by a friendly little explorer.  Zoe just could not understand why she could not have it for a pet!
The first day involved some outside play and rides in the canoe!
Even if it is just a small pond, the water was to inviting for them not to stick their feet in.
There were some other fun yard games that we enjoyed, while the sun was not blazing hot and the bug spray was working.
I think Poppy enjoyed begin caption for all the littles.
While the hammocks may have been intended for the adults, I think the littles got the most use of them...
despite them having little hammocks of their own.
We all enjoyed a quiet rest time!  The kids love Grammy's library that has more books than they could ever read.
Pizza was up for the first night and this fantastic fellow busted out so many of them with out batting an eye!
Now if only we had a few more ovens to keep up with him.
There were many varieties that all enjoyed!
Sound of Music was enjoyed after the feast.
Then once the littles were away (some) adults played!  Board game fun!
The next morning, after some tantruming and tears, we headed to the lake.
All the kids enjoyed swimming in the water, all except Ezra, who ended up being terrified.
But was quite content after getting in the boat with his Poppy.
We all took turns and the the brave tried some yoga on the paddle board.
They boated it for quite awhile!
At one point the girls wanted me to take them for a ride to deeper waters!
Even Grammy took a turn paddling around, which Ezra took advantage of.
When he went out with me, he decided to stand up and even paddled around himself for a bit, too.
Ezra decided to try the water again with me, and had a very different excited reaction!
They were all pretty worn out to finish the movie that night.
Snuggles abound!
With the kids asleep, we enjoyed another silly game.
Dad's always up for some fun.
The next morning it was "Camp Poppy" in full force!
Translation: blow up water fun and toys!
Of course the kids all love it!
Until I may or may not have broken the water pump on accident when trying to help.
We had a good rest day that day!
The outdoor play wasn't over afterwords, and Danielle demonstrated how to ribbon dance.
While Beach patiently filled up water balloons and William volunteered to get hit.
But if he managed to catch one than he got to throw it back (this went over well with some of the littles more than others).
Last one and everyone got to go at once!
That night we celebrated Aaron's Birthday (but just have one blurry picture to prove it).
The next day we had some little more time together.  After breakfast everyone came to our church, which was nice to all worship together.  Then the littles had a little more cousin time in the form of painting nails...
and Zoe teaching how to make "fortune tellers".
Little man didn't want to be left out and his sisters gave him some green little piggies.
So blessed to have Mom and Dad host such a fun time on their new(ish) property and letting us be the AirB&B guests for a change!  Thankful for such special memories to get to share together and cherish in our hearts!
