Bring in the Fall Festivities (Oct Part 2)

Continuing through the month of October (part 1 here), we carved a pumpkin this year and so glad we did.  Time got away from us last year, so on one slower Saturday I know we needed to seize the opportunity!
Daddy took the top off...
and then Zoe proceeded to dig in!  Shiloh was pretty grossed out by the process.
However, it didn't take her long to get over that and dig in as well!
Ezra, though, was never won over.
The girls worked hard and got it all cleaned out!  I didn't know how much joy it would bring them!
Pretty determined and they made it sound so fun, that our neighbor friend joined in.
The expert carver at work...
while the littles continued to play.
Smile!
 Of course they all had to do it!

My attempt at a picture....I mean!!!!
That is a little better.

Sweet play date in the park!  These little boys (and their mommas) had a great time!
Somewhat awkward but still adorable picture.

On an amazingly beautiful day, when there was rain in the forecast for the next couple of days, and I felt up for it, the kids and I took a little walk on the dam.
We had it mostly to ourselves and the kids loved running around.
Plus Ezra got close up views of all the vehicles, so he was overjoyed!
And we had to stop and examine a butterfly...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For Ezra's last soccer game of the season there was a lot going on!
It has been fun watching him grow as a player a little more and more each time!
They had a little award ceremony afterwords!
Waiting on the others to join them...
And getting his metal.
Proud of my little man for being such a good sport all the time and doing his first activity.
Then it was on to the SOAR Fest...
Which included a little yummy treats...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 After a quick lunch, it was off to a special cousin birthday party...
Little Lydia turned 5!
It was a great day in the park full of color and love.
Sweet moment between mom and daughter, reading a matching card....I had to take a picture but missed the moment and I attempted to recreate.

Although I usually attempt to NOT pack in so much in a day (as my body can't handle it), it just so happens we did have one final thing planned awhile back.
Trick-or-treating around the lake with our good friends!
Being outdoors in nature, with amazing weather and company!
One of the kids favorite parts was the fake spider webs...
They even caught a bug or two!
Luckily there were friends to help a bug out!
The girls were excited to enter the costume contest.
Megan and I even volunteered to let the girls make us into TP mummies and we each won a prize.
Then it was off to a near by church for the kids hot dog dinner!
Some special fantastic moments in the month which will be capped off by the grands to soon visit!
