I do love that the kid's elementary school has a 5th grade graduation. A time to reflect on the past few years and to mark time moving on to a new season of life. I think it will be a struggle when my baby finishes out each season of life, as closing of chapters, especially ones like this that I have cherished so much, is emotional. Ezra is not a super emotional kid so that does seem to help take my own emotions down a notch. So gratitude was the star feeling as we watched Ezra walk down the aisle for their ceremony.
Thankful for his class and amazing teachers!
While they were not in the same class, cousin was, also, apart of the 5th grade graduation. Most likely the last time our kids will be at the same school.
Headed out!
After that they have a celebratory time with visitors and snacks! Side note, Ezra intentionally wanted his hair to look like that!
He sure is loved!
So proud of our boy!
His great teachers!

It was unseasonably cold that day, but Ezra wanted to still go to the 5th grade poole party and had a great time!

Then on the last day of school, pick up was a little less emotional (I felt like I had said goodbye to IES a couple years ago when he had gone to a different school, not knowing that Ezra would be back for one more great year.)
Zoe was with me for pick up and got an sweet great hug from her beloved 5th grade teacher who was retiring that year! It was such a sweet surprise!
These staff are amazing and I feel so blessed that our children were able to spend a decade here between all the kids!

Pelicans to celebrate the start of summer, now that they were all out of school.
We, also, hit up Publix for their requested subs. I'm not sure how this happened, but they crack me up!
Thus ends a major chapter of our lives, as all the kids are now in middle and high school. While there is some grief in that, there is, also, so much joy for who they are and their current season in life as well!
