Ag & Art Tour

Even though the temps were going to be in the mid-90s, we still thought it would be worth it to check out the  Ag & Art Tour for the first time.  It runs each weekend in June and we decided to check out the closest county to us, Newberry!
First up was Rodgers Heirlooms, were they had this adorable duck that caught our eyes and kept escaping.  You could tell the owner was passionate and knowledgeable about his crop.
We were able to listen to some of the tour before the kids got to antsy.
Next up was West Ridge Farms where my mom had reserved a half of a cow for next month.  So we were excited to see everything up close!
They were beautiful and seemed to enjoy staring us down.
Shiloh needed a shade break.
Bonus!  They had complimentary amazing beef tacos for us to sample!
Next up was Bowers Farm, which won the kids over early with a hayride.
Ezra was in heaven (Zoe not as much).
They had many animals to check out including goats.
A baby calf to pet...
and the kids favorite, Marshmallow!

We need to work on how to pose in these type of things!
We were able to go on a short tour of the farm and learn a bit more about their practices!
A friendly donkey came over to greet us!
Finally, kids getting some bunny love!

We were looking forward to the unique visit of the next Alpaca farm at Carolina Pride Pastures.
The girls were eager to feed them, and Zoe had her favorite.
Shiloh probably could have done that all day and found much joy in it!
Not easy holding Ezra up for a picture all the while trying to stick my head in a hole to be an alpaca ourselves!
The last couple of stops were quick ones, as we were pretty worn from the heat.  We stopped by Lever Farms, but they had sold most of their products.  Amazingly enough though, we were still able to find some strawberries in the field for a little nibble.
Final stop was the Enoree River Winery, although I knew with the dehydration and heat, it would not be ideal to partake.  So we just checked out the property.
The girls requested photos in this tree (and Grammy photo bombed).
One last hot and tired picture!
We had a bit of a drive home and a few of us took advantage of such.  Ezra loved the toothpick he got earlier that day from a sample and even slept with it.
Such a fun tour and I am so thankful that we got to be a part of it this weekend.  We will definitely have to check it out again next year and I encourage you to do the same!
