Zooing Again

Despite the heat, I knew the kids would still want to head to the last Member's night at the zoo!
First up, feeding the Lorikeets!  It was still pretty early on that they were hungry and ready to eat!
2 out of 3 of my littles were to scared to get close and feed them but one was determined to do so.
They truly are so beautiful and it feels almost magical to have them so close!
They seemed to love Beach!
Finally after being very patient, Shiloh had successes with having one on her arm to feed it!
After that we had the bad news that there had been lighting strikes within 10 miles, so that meant that all the "rides" were closed for at least 30 minutes.  So we hoped to see the baby gorilla (nope sleeping) and then explored about trying to complain about the heat.
Maybe it was the heat, but the littles finally wanted to hang out longer and watch the sea lions (inside)!
They are so playful and, if they are swimming around in the water, are sure to come up to say hi!
Shiloh was in heaven when she found a misting fan...
She couldn't help but keep getting closer and probably would have stayed there all day!
So thankful that everything was turned back on again, after about an hour, for more fun!
Girls got to climb to the top again!
And a train ride of fun (not so much for momma as I always seem to get mosquito bites waiting there - EVERY TIME).
They loved playing in the new Grandma's Garden area and we hung out there a bit.
Daddy was a good sport and got to ride a bit in the stroller.  They can be for big kids too, eh?
Finally, before heading home all sticky and full of fun, we all joined in for some hula hoop dancing!
We should all sleep well tonight!
