Mountain Getaway

Life was about to get a little more than crazy with redoing a lot of our house, and we were still recovering from all the new business crazy.  So I planned an overnight in the mountains with my main love to breathe and connect and have a belated anniversary celebration.
We made many stops along the way including a couple of farms, as it was farm tour weekend.  Beach is such a good sport with my crazy ideas.
Our AirB&B was in the middle of nowhere in the south of NC.  So I made sure to make a couple coffee shop stops along the way as well.
Some were better than others and made for an interesting experience!
Small town loving on this beautiful day.
Since we were eating more of a progressive meal/snacks throughout the day we found a fun brewery to eat an actual meal, an early dinner.
Flights and tacos to share.  Finished just before the rain started.
A perfect indoor activity, that is a favorite for Beach is antiquing.
This one was huge but the only treasure we ended up with was a toy for Ezra.
I just try to be a good sport, as it is not my thing, and take silly pictures along the way.
Then we made it to our AirB&B, The VIEW, that was such a special place.
Our host was so kind to make a cheese platter to go with the bottle of wine that was included.
We enjoyed such and the back porch views!
In the morning, our host had a great spread for us that we enjoyed outside...
And I was so thankful that the clouds had cleared to truly have some quite time in the amazing beauty.
I love a good hike, and there was one not to far off!
Cheesing it for the selfie camera.
While it was actually pretty crowded, we climbed a little higher and had some time to ourselves.
And wouldn't you know...another awesome brewery right near the hiking spot, and we found a perfect table right by the river.
We went home by way of Black Mountain and had one more coffee stop.  An intriguing one for sure, as we reminisced on how many years prior we had just started our coffee journey and were dreaming of opening our own cafe one day.  In someways it felt like it would be just a dream.
So thankful to get away, even briefly, from the hustle and bustle and just be us!
