CB (Day 7)

After cleaning the house and packing up, we headed to the nearby charming town of Southport. Taking the ferry there was such a fun way to do so!  You were able to get out and look around for the short ride which was extra thrilling for those that had never been on a boat.
It was pretty fascinating to see how they transported all the cars there.
Zoe enjoyed the view for a moment before having to rest inside.
Fun little start to our adventure day.
Southport has some fascinating (and free) things to do including the little museum in the welcome center.

I love that they had a scavenger hunt for the kids, with little prizes at the end, to keep them engaged.
Then the Maritime museum was a surprise fun event for all.
Cannon shooting with Poppy.
I would say that she got the look down pretty well!
Scoping it out...
They also had some festival type things going on that day...
and LOVED checking out this running Ford truck (the woman's grandfather's truck) that was over 100 years old.
The Lovelands picnicked in the park.  Dad was happy to partake in a lobster food truck...
and Mom smiled her way through it (she is not as big of a seafood fan).
A painting activity that a couple of the kids enjoyed.
Family photo, whether they wanted to or not.
Zoe was pretty worn down, at that point, and had to collapse by a tree.
We, also, checked out the old jail...
The prisoners were not so happy.
Who had the best mug shot?
Bidding farewell to the rest of the family!
The Lovelands hit up one more more spot on the way home.  Shiloh enjoyed the mosaic.
Church ruins...
and a gorgeous walk around an old settlement.
Ezra was fading a bit...
needing a little assistance from his daddy.
One more picture of the girls in the stocks before heading home with our worn out kids!
We couldn't have asked for a better week and way to kick off our summer!  So thankful for this time with family for making amazing memories!
